Pet friendly? Of course we are… So many Florida retirement communities don’t allow pets, at Palm Lake Co-op, our pets are important to us. Pets are more than welcome at our Florida active living and retirement community. Two pets per household, including dogs weighing up to 50 pounds (around 23 kg) when fully grown.

With over 900 sites, it’s important to understand that Palm Lake Co-op is large enough to offer a a vast array of amenities to its residents, considering that smaller mobile home park communities just can’t provide this level of service. With all of the amenities we offer our residents, at a low monthly maintenance fee of only $300 that also includes basic cable, you simply can’t find a better deal in this area of South Florida.

Requirements and Need to Know information
ONE MEMBER MUST BE 55+. At Palm Lake Co-op, our residents are all part of the same age group, which in turn makes it easy for you to meet new friends, share common interests and enjoy the peace and quiet a gated community like Palm Lake co-op offers.
FIRST STEP: BUY A SHARE. Each resident is a valued member of our cooperative and as such, residency starts with a share purchase. The share price is equivalent to the price of your lot, which is currently valued at $20,000. Once you’ve opted in, you can then negotiate and pay for your house directly and contribute your $300 in monthly fees to the co-op.
BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COMMUNITY. Palm Lake Co-op is a cooperative, which means we’re looking for friendly, engaged people who like to actively participate and be part of a community that enjoys life at its fullest!
WE WELCOME SNOWBIRDS. Palm Lake Co-op gets livelier when snowbirds arrive in the fall. The Canadian government allows our seasonal residents to stay with us for up to 182 days per calendar year. Interested in giving it a try? Palm Lake Co-op community life can be experienced by renting a house for the season. This process offers future residents a chance to assess if this piece of paradise is right for you.
