Requirements and Need to Know information

ONE MEMBER MUST BE 55+. At Palm Lake Co-op, our residents are all part of the same age group, which in turn makes it easy for you to meet new friends, share common interests and enjoy the peace and quiet a gated community like Palm Lake co-op offers. 

FIRST STEP: BUY A SHARE. Each resident is a valued member of our cooperative and as such, residency starts with a share purchase. The share price is equivalent to the price of your lot, which is currently valued at $20,000. Once you’ve opted in, you can then negotiate and pay for your house directly and contribute your $300 in monthly fees to the co-op. 

BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COMMUNITY. Palm Lake Co-op is a cooperative, which means we’re looking for friendly, engaged people who like to actively participate and be part of a community that enjoys life at its fullest!

WE WELCOME SNOWBIRDS. Palm Lake Co-op gets livelier when snowbirds arrive in the fall. The Canadian government allows our seasonal residents to stay with us for up to 182 days per calendar year. Interested in giving it a try? Palm Lake Co-op community life can be experienced by renting a house for the season. This process offers future residents a chance to assess if this piece of paradise is right for you.
